Winter Hair Treatments

Nov 24, 2008

Hair TreatmentsWith the winter months quickly approaching, it’s important to keep your hair and skin moisturized and conditioned. Often people skip over conditioning their hair and giving it special attention. Unless you have really oily or baby fine hair, you should give your hair a deep conditioning treatment once per month.

According to Allure magazine, use a formula “that penetrates the hair’s core and strengthens it from the inside.” If you chemically process your hair and or blow-dry it, you are a good candidate for deep conditioning. If you want to use something homemade, try mashed avocado or olive oil and apply the formula to dry hair or you can buy deep conditioning products at I-supplements.com. Use your fingers or a brush to stimulate the scalp and distribute the product. Wrap your head in a warm towel and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Make sure you wash it out thoroughly and let your hair air dry so the conditioner can continue to penetrate to your hair shaft.

Thanks for the tips! I loved your last blog on alternative beauty tips! Just love what you guys do! I dry and straighten my hair every day, my hair is also chemically processed, so having this little bit of info to treat my hair over winter is perfect. I would have never known to do anything different this time of year! Thanks!
