Why is it important to be hydrated

Jan 5, 2009

waterWintertime is rough on your skin. Many of us wonder how we can keep our skin hydrating in the wintertime. Dry skin is something that can make you feel uncomfortable all day long.

Your first step to hydrated skin is to exfoliate. A loofah is a great way to rub dead skin cells off of your body. Grated apples and milk are a great natural way to exfoliate your skin to another level. The acids from the milk and fruit have awesome exfoliating properties.

Another option to exfoliate is to use a silicone glove that assists in hydrating product absorption. A silk serum can make your skin feel like new. The only down side is that it contains onion and you can smell it.

Dead sea salt mixed with lavender oil is great for dry elbows and hands. You simply rub it on thoroughly, and then rinse. You will have fresh, great smelling skin.

A Rice sake bath is also a great way to hydrate your skin. You fill your bath with warm water and rice sake, and relax. The enzymes in the sake do all the work for you.

Hydrating masks are a great way to hydrate your face during the wintertime. You can purchase one time use facemasks that are a cotton sachet soaked with hydrating elements. This is a great simple way to hydrate the skin on your face.

Vitamins A, C, Shea butter, cranberry oil, and mango extract are all great for skin hydration. You can look for these ingredients in creams. It is important to apply cream after exfoliating to lock in the moisture.

Wintertime can take it’s toll on your skin, so it is important to hydrate. Before hydrating you must exfoliate your skin. A loofah, silicone glove, dead sea salt, rice sake bath, and hydrating masks are all great ways to exfoliate. After exfoliation it is important to apply cream to seal in moisture.

Thanks for putting great articles like this one on your blog. Most websites have the dumbest articles and most boring reviews, but you guys are original and I love it! Keep it up, thanks

I use a sugar scrub mixed with milk to exfoliate and my skin is super soft. I also mix milk in my bath water with little bit of eucayptus oil to soften my skin and soothe away achy muscles.

Of course I agree to always stay hydrated and drink lots of water. But there are other ways to keep your skin hydrated in the winter months. Try adding vitamin e oil to your favorite lotion, or avoiding dry soaps try a soap with ultra rich moiturizers, and don’t shower or bathe in super hot water, it tends to dry your skin out more!
