Working Out Alone Helps You Focus More On Yourself

Working Out Alone Helps You Focus More On Yourself

A workout buddy can always help you kick it up a notch, right? Not necessarily, according to new studies. Researchers interviewed more than 8,500 exercisers nationwide and found that while sessions with a partner often last up to an hour longer than solitary bouts, solo workouts were significantly more intense, possibly because while training with a buddy you are more aware and focused on them and having fun while training than focusing on yourself and the actual workout. Don’t think know you have to ditch your gym buddy though! Save joint workouts for moderate-paced sessions, and when you want to “hit it hard” head out alone. Crank up the volume of intensity to help burn belly fat and boost your overall health.
