Time Over Reps

Nov 20, 2009

After years and years of lifting weights, you may find yourself getting into a boring routine that becomes a chore to complete. Heading to the gym and doing the same old lifts with the same old reps becomes the definition of mundane.i-supplements.com

Instead of doing a specific number of reps, try doing the lift for a set amount of time. If you’re doing squats, instead of having a goal of 10 reps, have a goal of 3 minutes of non-stop squatting. You can do this for any lift.

You should use a partner on this, so one person can keep time while the other does the lift. You may need to significantly drop the amount of weight you use on some lifts.

Not only will this help to shake up your routine, but it will also build up your muscular stamina.
