Mission Not Impossible – Log 1

Dec 1, 2011

I know I just started the Supplements yesterday but I wanted to send you what I have logged so far. It’s more about how I feel about things and also my horrid measurements. I took these and almost died right then and there. I have NEVER been as big as I am now and that includes when I was pregnant with all four of my kids. It’s awful.  However, it totally lit a fire under my rump! I will continue my journey toward a positive lifestyle change! So here goes with my first logs entries: I have lost 7 pounds since I began this journey on November 3, 2011. It shows me how important Nutrition is to lose weight and I feel a lot better just cutting out the junk and the sodium. I was a 48 oz a day Diet Pepsi drinker. Totally loved the stuff. That and my afternoon adult beverages were the hardest thing for me to give up. But I persevered.  I am committed to changing my life. I want to look on the outside what I feel like on the inside. When I looked in the mirror I did not see the grossly overweight person that I had become. I tell everyone that I had the exact opposite of anorexia. When I looked into the mirror I saw a thinner me. It wasn’t until I saw a picture of myself that I was like, “Holy crap, I’m really fat!” I decided then and there to do something about it. I decided to go completely out of my comfort zone and ask a handsome, physically buff hottie for help losing a person from myself. It was tough. I weighed the options, excuse the pun. It was time for me to do something and so I stepped out of my comfort zone and asked for help, which I never do. I am always the person who fixes everyone else’s problems. I do whatever needs to be done to make other people’s lives easier and better. In the process I lost myself. This is going to be a journey to become physically and emotionally fit. So the journey begins….

Starting Stats on 11/14/2011
Age: 39
Starting weight: 265
Height: 5′8″
Body Fat: 45.9%
Body Fat Mass: 125

Measurement as follows:  Take a deep breath, these measurements are real doozies.
Neck: 15
Chest: 47 1/2
Upper Arm: Rt. 15 Lft: 16
Hips: 53
Thighs: Rt. 26 Lft. 26 1/4
Calves: Rt. 9 1/2 Lft. 9 1/4

“Ok stop holding the breath now and sit down.” That is what I told myself after taking these measurements. I let it get me down for a few minutes and then I told myself it was going be ok. If you look on the bright side it will just be more of an accomplishment when you see the numbers fall so drastically as you follow and complete your transformation from fat to fab!

One of the things I have noticed is all of the Negative Nellie’s I was surrounded by as I was piling on all these excess pounds. The saying, “Misery loves company”, is completely true.

Step one: Get away from all the negative people in your life.

Step two:  Surround yourself with positive, motivated people. Get excited about your journey to a new you! Everyone loves being around someone who is positive, excited and energetic!
Since I began, I have noticed how supportive my family and friends are being with me. It really makes a difference. I am very excited to tell you about what steps I am taking to become the new me.

First step: I asked for help. Thank goodness a friend from high school took the time to answer questions and offer me the answer to my prayers. I let my stressful life, bad decision’s, and just plain laziness turn me into a frumpy, overweight, 39 year old, mother of four. I had become a cliché. I was skimming the face book posts and found one that asked my friend about losing weight. I thought to myself, “Wow! I should totally ask him if he could help me come up with a weight loss plan. After talking with him I decided it wasn’t going to be another diet, it was going to be a lifestyle change for me. I was finally ready to take the step to make some positive changes.

Step two: Listen to what the good folks at I-Supplements.com have to say.  I have been on every diet, and weight loss program you can think of and have never found anyone that cares as much as these folks did.   Bryce Purvis, CEO of I-Supplements.com and EverythingAntiaging.com, took the time to talk to someone he went to school with over 21 years ago. And then he changed my life because he showed that he cared enough to listen and then implement an individual plan that was specifically designed for my nutritional needs, weight loss needs and lifestyle change.  I want to thank you for taking the time to help me when everything seemed so hopeless!

First I want to tell you about the supplements Bryce put me on.

Slim Quick Extreme
Colostrum by TBR Labs
L-Carnitine by 1100 Dymatize
Ultimate Cleanse Kit Nature’s Secret
Ultimate Muscle Protein by Beverly International

Slim Quick Extreme is thermogenic to help aid in your weight loss. Specifically designed for women.

Ultimate Cleanse Kit by Nature’s Secret help to eliminate the bad toxins’ from your body and will really help me kick start my journey.  I’m only taking this for the first month.

Colostrum by TBR Labs  is something he puts everyone on.  It in incredible for your immune system and will be strongly needed once my weight starts coming off and the more active I become.

Liquid L-Carnitine by Dymatize is taken with every meal.  I take a tsp.  It helps metabolize carbs and fat into energy.  It’s a non-stimulant and it naturally occurs in your body.

Ultimate Muscle Protein by Beverly is probably my favorite thing that I received in my first shipment.  I ordered Cookies and Cream and Chocolate.  For those of you that have tried to drink protein shakes this one is unlike any you have tasted.  They taste just like Milk shakes and that is when they are mixed with water.  Totally amazing!  I do recommend you get the shaker cup.  It’s a breeze to make and is done in seconds.  The only thing is you have to make yourself eat your regular meals too.

Bryce made me a Meal Plan.  He told me that a big problem everyone runs into when they try to lose weight is that they over think the nutrition part.  Too true.  One of the reasons I fall off the diet rollercoaster is because I get overwhelmed with my meal planning.  This is simple to follow and makes sense.

1st Thing Upon Awaking (try to do this around 6am and no later than 7am, earlier is perfectly fine)

1/2 grapefruit
1 teaspoon L-Carnitine
3 SQ Extreme (start with 2 to see how your tolerance is, after a few days if 2 feel good, then jump to 3 pills)

30-60 min later 1st meal

4 egg whites (can eat 1 yellow if you want)
1/4 cup oats
or
1.5 scoops of Ultimate Muscle Protein

Supps:
3 Colostrum
1 tsp L-Carnitine

2nd Meal 3-4 hours later

4-6 oz of either (weigh before cooking)

• Chicken Breast (trim fat) use Ms. Dash to season, either spices or marinade on all meats
• Buffalo (either ground or filet)
• Laura’s Lean Beef 4-6 oz any kind
• Real Turkey Breast
• white fish (tilapia is good)
• Canned or bag tuna (yukkk, but is good choice)

• 2 cups Fresh Veggies or (Anything green, carrots, peppers, cauliflower)
• 1 cup fresh veggies and 1 cup fresh fruit
• substitute the above with a spinach salad with small amount of slivered almonds and veggies of choice. Can use a light balsamic vinegar dressing

• 2 small red potatoes or
• 1/4 cup cooked brown rice (no white) Only with 2nd meal not allowed with any other meals for the day

Alt Meal – 1.5 scoops of UMP Protein

Attn: 3 SQ Extreme (start with 2 to see how your tolerance is, after a few days if 2 feel good, then jump to 3 pills) 6 hours after 1st dose on morning, no later than 3pm or you won’t sleep

3rd Meal 3-4 hours later

Same as 2nd Meal

Supps:
1 tsp L-Carnitine

4th Meal 3-4 hours later

Same as meal 2 and 3

Supps:
1 tsp L-Carnitine

5th Meal 3-4 hours later (last meal)

1/2 grapefruit
1.5 scoops of UMP Protein

Supps:
3 Colostrum
1 tsp L-Carnitine

If you feel 5 meals is too much them make sure your last meal is the 5th meal stated above. You will need to eventually get up to 5 to really kick in your metabolism. 4 is fine in the beginning, but 5 is the goal.

Note: If you have to eat out, then make smart choices. No fast food. Grilled chicken, fish, steak and veggies. Most of the time you get 2 sides, order double veggies. No bread!!!!!!! If you do have no choice but fast food, then get chicken breast and no buns!

Pretty simple right?  Right!

Okay, Day One is finished.  I love the shakes.  They actually taste just like milk shakes minus the 600 calories and milk.  LOL.  My energy is through the roof.  I couldn’t sit down.  After the dentist today I came home and did 2.5 hours of aerobics.  I had to make myself sit down and rest.  I’m not used to this.  But I could totally get used to having energy for a change.  I’m thinking about Zumba now but we will have to see.

Okay I have a little bit of dizziness after my second dose of SQ Extreme.  I drank more water and started feeling fine.  My daily goal of 1 gallon of water has been achieved.  (I just love completing my goals)
Tomorrow’s goal is to wake up at 6 am and try to eat more.. I never thought I would say I wasn’t hungry enough to eat.  This is awesome!  Time for bed..

Ok it’s 12:00 am and I am having trouble getting to sleep.  Bryce emailed me and said to skip the second dose tomorrow, or I guess today.  Can’t wait to see what the new day brings.

November 16, 2011

Ok today is off to a slow start.  The last time I looked at the clock it was 3 am.  I didn’t wake up until 6:58 so my goal of 6 am was not achieved.  But that’s ok.

7:20 am: I ate ½ grapefruit and took 2 SQ extremes and a calcium supplement and multi-vitamin.  Not sure that I need them but I have then so I thought I would finish the bottles.

7:45 am:  Not dragging anymore.  Love the Slim Quick extremes!  Now it’s time for errands so I’m off with my cooler packed with my water, 2 UMP shakes, collostrum, and 2 doses of 1 tsp L-Carnitine, and first dose of my cleanse.

8:30 am:  Cookies and Cream UMP shake, I wonder if it would taste like cookies and cream ice cream if I put in into the freezer?  Yum!  Took 1 tsp of L-Carnitine and 3 colostrum.   Drinking my water.

11:30 am:  Stopped at Subway with my Aunt and Uncle.  I left my cooler with my other shake at their house in the cooler so decided to have a chicken breast salad with lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, cucumbers, and black olives.  I got to the end of the counter to pick my dressing and all they had was Ranch, Lt Ranch, and maybe French.  I panicked and told her I need Balsamic light Vinaigrette dressing and she didn’t have it.  (I thought Subway was a low calorie friendly establishment.)  She suggested vinegar and a little olive oil and I took it.  I gave the croutons away and finished my salad.  Took my water bottle in with me.  Gotta Hydrate!

11:45 am:  I got back to my cooler and took 1 tsp of L-Carnitine.

2:30 pm:  Chocolate UMP shake with 1 tsp of L-Carnitine.

6:30 pm:  4 oz of Turkey breast
1 Cup of steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and onions
1 Cup of Fresh fruit salad with splenda.  Strawberries, kiwi, apples, grapes and pineapple.
And water

7:30 pm: weight training.  I need to work on finding more things to do.  I only lifted for 25 minutes.

7:55 pm:  Zumba time!  I love working out with the Zumba Kinnect.  All the exercise without the audience.

New Goal:  At some point go to an actual Zumba class with REAL people.

8:55 pm:  Had to make myself quit working out.  Great feeling of accomplishment!  These supplements are working because I felt energized when I began working out.  Seemed like I got an energy boost as soon as my heart rate started going up.  Better have a towel because you sweat, which is great.  We have to get all of the toxins out and burn the fat.  Drank a lot of water with a little propel in it.

9:55 pm:  Last meal of the day.  ½ grapefruit with splenda on it.  1 tsp of L-Carnitine and 3 colostrum.  Took my evening dose of my cleanse.  So far it seems like a gentle cleanse, no oh no’s!

Goal of 1 gallon of water ACHIEVED!  YAY!

Gonna watch some TV and then head to bed.  Wondering about that 6 am wakeup goal.
Remember if at first you don’t succeed then try and try again!  Don’t give up, be persistent!
