Hemp Protein Power
Feb 24, 2009
About two years ago my workout partner and I started eating hemp bread as a meal replacement. After about a month or so consuming the bread, we decided to add hemp protein powder to our long list of daily supplements. Hemp seeds contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary for muscle repair and hypertrophy. Consider these benefits of hemp protein:
High Fiber- Increase in muscle growth
- No bloating
- Natural product
- THC Free
- Perfect ratio of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids
- Loaded with Arginine
I started taking protein powder supplements back in high school in the late 90’s. Whey and egg protein powders were the backbone of my nutritional intake for the next several years. I’m sure many of you have experienced common side effects from low quality powders like:
- Stomach bloat
- Diarrhea
- Sluggish energy levels
- Bad after taste
Another great benefit of Hemp is that it’s grown without the use of any pesticides or herbicides. One other thing people don’t talk about with Hemp is how it helps with muscular endurance. My training partner and I notice that our endurance was way better after the use of hemp protein then compared to whey, egg, and soy. It could be a placebo effect but we really feel a difference on this stuff. Next time you decide to purchase a protein product consider hemp protein, it will take you higher.

I’m a soy protein user myself and have been looking for something different. Can’t do typical iso or whey powders because I am lactose intolerant. Will the hemp have any effect on me? I am pretty sure it will not, but wanted to know for sure prior to purchasing any! Thanks

I am pretty sure it will not. I am no expert by any means, but I don’t believe it will affect you at all. I’d google it or something! Hope I could help

It depends on what brand you buy. Some powders are vegan and kosher, but some brands I do believe have some dairy products added to them for a better taste. Just check out the brands to determine which is which.
