Protein Prices Continue to Rise

Jan 18, 2012

In the past couple of years you and I have seen protein prices not just go thru the roof, but explode into the hemisphere. It seems like weekly I am updating protein prices in the range of 2 to 5 dollars per container. In some instances, I have seen even bigger increases. This isn’t just a one time deal with some of these companies, some of them I raised 4 times just in 2011. Two of those four, I have already increased again in 2012. I have a feeling by the end of 2012, protein prices are going to be ridiculous.

So why are protein prices on the rise you might be asking? Well one of the major factors without mentioning any specific corporation is “protein enhanced energy and sports drinks”. With the addition of protein in these drinks, it is creating a shortage in certain proteins. Which in turn has created a demand and is driving prices up to nearly unaffordable prices. That is the short of it.

So what is i-Supplements doing to combat this problem? Unfortuanetly, there is not a whole lot we can do. Right now we have some good prices on some popular protein powders due to stocking up on them in 2011. Once these are gone though you will see an increase on these as well.

Best Selling protein:

Gaspari Myofusion Hydro (discontinued – we have Vanill & Choc still)

Beverly Muscle Provider (a 5 dollar increase once we run out of inventory)

Dymatize Elite Gourmet (another increase coming very soon on all Dymatize proteins)

BSN Syntha 6 (another increase on Feb 1st on all BSN proteins)

Those are a few popular proteins we sell here at i-Supplements.com that you might be interested in stocking up on before it’s too late! Sorry to drop the bad news, but just wanted to give the heads up for those of you who want to stock up on your favorite protein supplement.
