Can Music Give You Muscle Pumps?
Apr 30, 2009
I was watching the news this morning and they were talking how listening to your favorite music is good for the heart. Studies have shown that when you listen to your music of choice your blood vessels begin to dilate, which promotes more blood flow throughout the body.
Well, I got to thinking and it makes sense. I noticed when I worked out and listened to music on my ipod, I would get really good muscle pumps, similar to when I use Nitric Oxide Supplements.
So, how does listening to music while working out benefit you? Well, when your blood vessels dilate, you promote more blood flow and transport important nutrients to your muscles. If it works much like nitric oxide supplements, music can provide you with amazing muscle pumps, increase muscle size and strength over time and better recovery time. However, the most important factor is that music will help promote a healthier heart. When you have more blood flowing smoothly, it will help prevent blood clots, heart attacks, along with strokes.
The studies showed that listening to your favorite music will increase your blood vessel diameter by 26%. It was also mentioned that if you listen to music that you dislike, it will actually decrease your blood vessel diameter. So, it’s important to listen to music that you like.
Im going to do some testing for the next month. For two weeks Im going to use Nitric Oxide Supplements with no music. The next two weeks Im going to listen to music, while I workout, without NO. I am interested to see how the two compare.
