Since I have started i-Supplements back in 2006, my life has become one big rollercoaster. As for i-Supplements itself, the rollercoaster has continued to go up, even half way thru 2011 it just keeps climbing. As for me though, there have been alot of ups and downs and mostly with my overall health. Not that my health is bad, but people that know me, know that I struggle with nutrition and what I put in my body. Hitting the gym has never been an issue for me, that has always been the easy part, but the nutrition part on the other hand, had been very difficult up until this year.
Let us bactrack to June of 2008. At that point in my life I weighed 231 pounds and was not comfortable at all with that weight. To most, I looked big and to most, probably looked healthy, but at 5′9″, that was just too much weight for me to carry around. So now let us move forward to January 2011.
So in January I made the decision to quit eating garbage and to put only good foods in my body. That meant no more sodium, sugar, gluten, fast food, etc. Since January I have been on a strict lifestyle change of 4 protein shakes a day and 2 whole meals a day. I have cooked my meals every Sunday morning religiously for the following week. My meals always consist of ground buffalo, buffalo sirloin, chicken breast, turkey breasts, small amount of brown rice and lots of steamed broccoli. I have not strayed away from this and have loved it, especially the results. Only twice have I fallen off the wagon this year. No excuses, I just fell off.
As for my workouts, I never miss. I train with weights 3 times a week and anyone that knows me, knows that I train a bit crazy. I like to train by myself and really fast. It is not about how much I can lift any longer, it is all about endurance and cardiovascular. If I ever train over 30 minutes, it is too long. Most workouts rarely go past 20 minutes. Some weeks, I might add a couple of days on the treadmill. Time ranging from 45-60 minutes per session, but in all honesty, I do not do it every week. Like I said, I prefer to get my cardio from my weight training sessions.
So, you might be asking what has been the results so far. Well here goes.
